What is a Youth Ambassador?

Youth Ambassadors (YAs) are one of the Foundation’s most valuable assets and at the heart of our work with young people. Aged between 16-21, they help spread our message into their schools and communities, support the work of the DSM Foundation and advise our trustees and team on ideas, plans and developments from a young person’s perspective.

YAs also provide vital help at some of our events, and help other people we work with understand the direct impact of our work with young people. Our Youth Ambassadors are passionate about what we do and determined to help spread the foundation’s aims to their friends and peers. Anyone can be a YA, as long as they share our commitment to supporting young people to make safer choices about alcohol and drugs.
