As part of establishing our drug and alcohol education in Scotland, a new Theatre in Education production of ‘I Love You, Mum – I Promise I Won’t Die’, will be created for Scottish schools this year by Tie It Up Theatre. Planned for summer 2020, this will now take place in the autumn when schools (hopefully) re-open after Covid-19 lock down. It will be based in Edinburgh but hopes to travel across Scotland for the two weeks of this pilot tour, with its premiere performance at the beautiful Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh.
TiU Theatre have been successfully touring another of Mark Wheeller’s plays, ‘Hard to Swallow’, for the last two years, and have the full endorsement of the playwright himself to take on this important task.
