Odd Socks Day

Dan’s story is at the heart of all we do and each year on his birthday we like to celebrate by holding an annual Odd Socks Day!  Why Odd Socks?  Well, he frequently wore odd socks ‘just because’ so it seems appropriate!

This year’s Odd Socks Day is on Friday 27th May – we’d love your school or workplace to join us.  It’s a great opportunity to enable the whole school community to do something fun together and raise awareness of Dan’s story.

Perhaps you could introduce a competitive element to Odd Socks Day:

  • hold an odd sock photo caption competition?
  • challenge each house/team to submit the greatest number of odd sock photos?
  • see who can send the strangest/funniest odd sock photo!

We ask each person who participates to donate via text:

1socks to 70085 to donate £1

5socks to 70085 to donate £5

10socks to 70085 to donate £10

All monies raised will go to funding our drug and alcohol education work in schools. (Texts cost the donation plus one standard rate message.)

If you’d like to keep track of donations from your school/organisation, we can set up a specific text donate code for you and if you need any specific wording on the flyer to suit your setting, don’t hesitate to ask Amanda who can provide what you need!

And of course we’d love to see the photos! Please tag the DSMF on Facebook (@danielspargomabbsfoundation) or Twitter (@foundationdsm).

We hope you’ll join us for Odd Socks Day 2022!
